So im about to ask a lot of questions so please dont be annoyed.
When going to auditions for Blue Devils, what is it they look for most? Ive heard almost universally that they look mostly for visual/marching skill. What exactly does this entail?
What do they look for from a musical standpoint? Obviously the exercises need to be learned and playable but is it necessary to have monster chops off the bat like it seems or do they look for improvement potential?
Ive heard for the quad auditions that Rudy does things called 'dogfights' where a improvised lick is played and the contenders have to copy it, while they are observed on who can play it the best. Is this true? If so, is it still in use? Do they do it for the B corps? How can I be prepared best for this?
